AN INTRODUCTION TO NOK HOOK CHILDREN’S NURSERY
We have just started Nok Hook Children Nursery on 8-03-2014. Our aim is, to provide a first-class quality day care nursery. We strive to provide a happy, caring environment believing that children will only develop their full potential if they are in a happy, caring and stimulating environment. We feel that children should enjoy their formative years without feeling that they are under pressure to become high achievers. Our first priority is therefore to ensure that these needs are met, and academic attainment ensues as a natural progression.
Children initially develop their physical and mental skills through play. Being in a nursery environment also helps in developing their social skills i.e. the ability to mix, relate and co-operate with their peers as well as with adults other than immediate family. Many would argue that this could well be the most important life skill of all.

FROM TEACHERS TO PARENTS
In our classroom, children have opportunities to choose from among a variety of activities, materials and equipment, and have time to explore them in interesting and relaxed atmosphere.
Our daily schedule is flexible enough to be able to take advantage of unplanned experiences, keep in mind however, that children find security in an established routine. We strive for a balance between freedom and guidance, group and individual activities, and active and quite experiences. We know that children play is a primary vehicle for and indicator of their mental growth.
Therefore, we believe that child-initiated, child-divested, staff supported play is an essential part of each school day. We know also the importance of high quality interaction between the adults and children. We respond quickly and directly to their needs, desires and massages and adapt our response as appropriate. Daily, we provide many varied opportunities for them to communicate and we facilitate their learning by providing individual support focused attention, physical closeness and verbal encouragement. We encourage close two-way communication, and we are alert to signs of unnecessary stress in their discipline, and we are responsible for supervision at all times.
We provide multi-cultural and non-sexist experiences, materials and equipment for all the children and we teach respect and appreciation for the variety of cultures the children has contact with every day here.
And finally we’d just like to emphasize the value of our working together with you. Parents as partners in education and promoting our Childs growth. Our mutual sharing of information and insight about your child helps you and our program, and more importantly, your child.
